University of Zurich (UZH) has 30 years’ experience with Echinococcosis epidemiology, diagnosis and control. Development of diagnostic strategies in intermediate and definitive hosts and in environmental or food samples.

Role in the project

Advisor to oversee the progress of the project, give advises on project execution, dissemination and training needs and to support the consortium in the advocacy of ECHINO-SAFE-MED policy recommendations. UZH will have access to the full project proposal and progress reports and will be invited to provide independent comments on progress and project integration. UZH will be invited to attend annual meetings and/or visits the study areas where the integrated programme will be conducted.
