Expertise

The parasitology unit of the University of Ziane Achour-Djelfa (UZAD) brings together two experts in parasitology with good experience in the molecular epidemiology of some zoonotic protozoa including giardiasis and cryptosporidiosis and zoonotic helminthiasis including CE and fasciolosis.

Role in the project

UZAD will be an important partner in achieving of the main scientific objectives of work packages: WP2 - Surveillance activities for CE in the Mediterranean area and WP3- Vaccination of lambs and treatment of dogs to control CE in the pilot areas. UZAD will support also project management (WP5) and dissemination activities (WP4).
